On behalf of the Marquis Grissom Baseball Association we would like to invite you to partner with us in our 10th Annual Smoltz-Grissom Wood Bat Classic Baseball Tournament.
SGWBC is a joint effort between John Smoltz Atlanta Braves Pitcher and Marquis Grissom – newly retired San Francisco outfielder. This awesome annual four-day event began Memorial Day Weekend in 1999 with great success. The SGWBC is now a national event hosting teams from all over the country with a pro baseball atmosphere. This years SGWBC is a Fletcher Baseball and CABA World Series Qualifier and ISA (Fast Pitch Softball) tournament. All tournament proceeds are awarded to underserved youth to participate in sports and to implement programs that cater to youth academically. To date over $30,000 has been awarded to many Metro Atlanta athletic associations.
This year we are expecting 150 teams to assemble in Atlanta from all over the United States to compete for the title of Smoltz-Grissom Wood Bat Classic Champion. The Marquis Grissom Baseball Association (MGBA) and John Smoltz in partnership with Turner Field, the Atlanta Braves, Fulton County Parks, The villages of Carver, The Braves Baseball Academy, and YMCA will provide an exciting weekend of baseball and fun for the entire family.

offers a variety of contribution levels and gives our sponsors
as much exposure as we can make available.
